Bangladesh national men's volleyball team booked their place in the CAVA Men's Volleyball Championship 2026 final with a commanding 3-0 straight-set victory over Uzbekistan in the first semifinal on Tuesday at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Bangladesh will face Pakistan in the final on Wednesday at the same venue.
Bangladesh produced an all-round performance, showing determination, resilience and teamwork to register their fifth victory of the tournament.
The men in red and green dominated from the outset, taking the opening set 25-21 before maintaining their momentum to win the next two sets 25-20 and 25-19, sealing an emphatic straight-set victory and a place in the final.
Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh defeated Uzbekistan 3-2 in their opening match before suffering a 3-0 defeat to hosts Pakistan in the second match.
The team bounced back strongly by edging Kazakhstan 3-2 in their third match and defeating Nepal 3-2 in the fourth, setting up their semifinal clash against Uzbekistan.
