Bangladesh Ansar continued to reign supreme in the country’s baseball scenario as they clinched their second consecutive National Women’s Baseball title. Like the first edition of the tournament, Ansar defeated Bangladesh Police in the final of the second edition Sunday at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhaka.
Ansar beat Police 17-6. Both the champion and the runners-up side received trophies and medals for their efforts.
A total of eight teams, divided into two groups, took part in the tournament. Group A comprised Ansar, Khulna, Rangpur and Dhaka while Group B contained Police, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Chittagong.
