Access Chess Club maintain solo lead

Despite a draw, Access Chess Club continued their solo lead at the top of the Marcel First Division Chess League 2016 after the end of the eighth-round games at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on Wednesday. Access CC, comprising Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Anustoop Biswas, Dewan Shahidul Amin and Asadul Haq, drew with Sheikh Russel Chess Club by 2-2 points. The leaders earned 13 points out of seven games to top the table while Hasan Memorial Chess Club, who beat Kasparov Chess Club 4-0, are placed at second with 12 points. Sheikh Russel CC remained third with 11 points.
