A sneak peek into upcoming films through new trailers

The Running Man

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man dropped its official trailer on July 1 via Paramount Pictures' YouTube channel.

Set in a dystopian future where a deadly TV show dominates the ratings, contestants known as “Runners” must survive for 30 days while being hunted by assassins—each moment broadcast to a bloodthirsty audience. Desperate to save his daughter, working-class Ben Richards (Glen Powell) agrees to participate, urged on by the show's charismatic yet ruthless producer Dan Killian (Josh Brolin).

As Richards grows into an unlikely fan favorite, he threatens the very system that exploits him. With stakes rising and the nation glued to the spectacle, The Running Man promises both high-octane action and biting social commentary.

 

Project Hail Mary

The trailer for Project Hail Mary, based on Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, was released on June 30. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, an astronaut who wakes up alone on a spacecraft with no memory of who he is or why he’s there.

As he pieces things together, he realizes he is humanity’s last hope—sent to a distant solar system to prevent a global catastrophe. With only his scientific knowledge and ingenuity to rely on—and possibly an unexpected ally—Grace must face the ultimate test of human will.

 

Roofman

The trailer for Roofman was unveiled on June 25. Directed by Derek Cianfrance, the film stars Channing Tatum as Jeffrey Manchester, a former Army Ranger who gains notoriety for robbing McDonald’s outlets by cutting through their roofs.

After escaping prison, Manchester lives undetected inside a store for six months while plotting his next move. But when he falls for Leigh (Kirsten Dunst), a single mother drawn to his quiet charm, his double life begins to unravel.

 

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle

The trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle dropped on June 28. The film marks the beginning of the final arc of the Demon Slayer anime series and is set to premiere in Japan on July 18.

Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps find themselves deep within the demons’ stronghold—the Infinity Castle—as the climactic battle against Muzan Kibutsuji and his elite Upper Moons begins. The stakes are higher than ever in this anticipated conclusion to one of anime’s most successful franchises.

 

Eden

Ron Howard’s Eden released its first trailer on June 25. The survival thriller stars Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, and Daniel Brühl.

Set against the harsh and haunting landscape of the Galápagos Islands, the film follows a group of people who abandon modern society in search of a new way of life. But as ideals clash and survival becomes increasingly difficult, paradise quickly turns into a psychological and physical battleground.

 

Afterburn

The trailer for Afterburn, directed by J J Perry, was released on July 3. The action-packed film stars Dave Bautista, Olga Kurylenko, and Samuel L Jackson.

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a massive solar flare, a daring treasure hunter ventures into a decimated Europe to recover the lost Mona Lisa. But as chaos unfolds, he discovers the world needs a hero more than a masterpiece.

 

Relay

David Mackenzie’s Relay dropped its trailer on July 2. The thriller stars Riz Ahmed as a fixer who brokers high-stakes deals between corrupt corporations and their enemies.

When a mysterious new client (Lily James) seeks protection instead of payment, his personal code is challenged—and his loyalties begin to shift. The cast also features Willa Fitzgerald and Sam Worthington in key roles.
