After that, Amina Ahmed gave a speech and reminisced about her time and experience with Sadi Mohammad. She talked about how his absence has created a vacancy in the cultural art community, and how they feel lost without him. She hopes that he is peacefully on the other side surrounded by loved ones.

She also reminisced about the first time Sadi Mohammed had asked her to sing a duet and her being overjoyed by it. She talked about how his mother’s passing had impacted his mental health which worsened after the passing of his beloved sister.

The audience was filled with his students, colleagues, childhood friends and loved ones. His brother, renowned dancer Shibli Mohammed was also present.

After Amina Ahmed’s speech, speeches by his friends were given. They reminisced about their personal experiences and shared anecdotes about how much of a fun person he was. He would make someone who he has just met one time feel like they share a personal connection to him.

They talked about how even at the face of obstacles, he never faltered and always rose above, and similarly helped and encouraged other artists to rise above obstacles. He may not have received enough national recognition for his contribution to the music scene but his impact still remains absolute.

He may not be with us physically but his art, his teachings and his personality remains in every one who knew him.
