To mark the 24th death anniversary of Dhallywood heartthrob Salman Shah, Nagorik Television is telecasting the actor's 1993 flick, Keyamat Theke Keyamat, at 2:30pm on September 6. A remake of the 1988 Hindi film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak featuring Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, the Bangladeshi version stars Salman Shah and Mousumi.
Directed by Shanur Rahman Sohan, the film chronicles a forbidden love affair between Raj and Reshmi which resurfaces an old feud between the two influential families. Runa Laila and Agun sang the immensely popular songs of the film.
Born as Chowdhury Mohammad Shahriar Emon in 1971 in Sylhet, Shalman Shah acted in 27 films in his four-year long movie career. His untimely death at the age of 25 was ruled as suicide due to family dispute over his affair with popular actor Shabnur.
