Legendary Bangladeshi playback singer Andrew Kishore has been fighting cancer since September, 2019. He had an adrenal gland tumour which turned cancerous. Ever since his diagnosis, Kishore has spent his time in hospitals and hotels. After six long months, the musical genius has finally returned to the stage.
A "Love for Andrew Kishore" concert was arranged on Sunday evening at the Gateway Theatre in Jalan Bukit Merah, Singapore. Kishore also performed at the event, which prompted his fans to break into tears.
Andrew Kishore was wearing a red punjabi and a black hat. He was joined on stage by Sabina Yasmin, Syed Abdul Hadi, Mitali Mukharjee, and Momin Biswas.
Singer Andrew Kishore's name will be forever etched in our memory for his many popular songs including Jiboner Golpo Ache Baki Olpo, Haire Manush Rongin Fanush, Dak Diachen Doyal Amare, Amar Shara Deho Kheyo Go Mati, Shobai To Bhalobasha Chae, and more. He received the National Film Award eight times for playback singing in films.
