Hoichoi, the on-demand video-streaming platform for Bangla contents, is set to release another original web series on the occasion of Eid. Directed by Tanim Noor and Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, “Money Honey” is based on a true story.
The series follows 32-year-old divorcee Shahriar Kabir who works in Dhaka Stock Exchange — an urban dweller and chaos around him. His lifestyle is filled with gambling, partying, women and alcohol. He is a smooth talker who can make anyone fall in love with him.
But his life turns upside down when the stock market is hit by a major crisis.
First look of the web series was also revealed on Tuesday.
Regarding “Money Honey,” Business Lead of Hoichoi Bangladesh Sakib R Khan said: “We are very excited about this one, because this is the first time we are taking on a Dhaka-based true story and presenting it as a Hoichoi original series.”
“This indeed is the beginning of a beautiful era for Bangla content in online streaming platform. ‘Money Honey’ has a unique narration and storytelling. We hope that the audience will immensely enjoy the series,” he added.
The cast of the series include: Shaymol Mawla, Mostafizur Noor Imran, Lutfar Rahman George, Sumon Anwar, Nishat Priyom, and Naziba Bashar.
“Money Honey” is scheduled to stream on Hoichoi after Eid-ul-Fitr next month.
