Sumon poised to make comeback

Aurthohin vocalist Sumon, also known as Bassbaba, is coming back to the stage for a concert in Sydney on November 4, having been out of commission since an accident in Thailand on June 17, 2017. Sumon has had a difficult time over the last few months. The singer has been battling cancer since 2012 and had gone to Thailand for a health check-up when the accident took place. The singer-musician was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he had to undergo an 11-hour surgery. His face was seriously damaged in the accident. Doctors also found fissures in his spine during following check-ups, which led Sumon to go through a series of surgeries in Bangkok, where eight screws were implanted. Despite only a month having passed since the operation, he has already declared that he will go on the tour. Sumon recently announced: “I am quite alright at the moment. Aurthohin is traveling to Sydney on November 1 for a concert. As I'm the vocalist and bassist of Aurthohin, I will be accompanying them.” The Bassbaba has so far undergone 20 surgeries, and has come back each time with renewed vigour. Fans expect that the concert will surely be added to the list of memorable comeback performances by the artist.
