Ailing actor Dipjol shows signs of improvement

Famous Dhallywood actor and villain, Monowar Hossain Dipjol’s health has improved.  Dipjol fell seriously ill on Tuesday and was rushed to the CCU of the capital’s Labaid Hospital. He was then taken to Singapore for better treatment on Wednesday afternoon, and has been admitted at Mount Elizabeth Hospital since then. Montazur Rahman Akbar, a film director and a dear friend of Dipjol, has confirmed Dhaka Tribune that the doctors are very hopeful about his health. According to the doctors, Dipjol will be able to return to Bangladesh as soon as he is done with his treatment. The 59 year-old actor, politician and businessman, had suffered a heart attack and was also diagnosed withpleural effusion, also called “water in the lung.” Dipjol’s wife and daughter, Oliza Monowar accompanied him to Singapore. Members of the Bangladesh Film Actors Union gathered together on Wednesday, at FDC’s Film Actors Union Office in order to pray for the improvement of Dipjol’s health. Besides acting, Dipjol has produced many films. The actor has recently worked in a film titled Dulabhai Jindabaad, which is slated to release on October 13. The cast of the film includes Monowar Hossain Dipjol in the lead role, along with Moushumi, Bappi and Mim. Dipjol was shooting for Ek Koti Taka, directed by Chotku Ahmed, before he fell seriously ill on Tuesday.
