Tanjina Toma’s solo show at National Museum

Rabindra sangeet artist Tanjina Toma is set to perform at Begum Sufia Kamal Auditorium at the National Museum on September 8 at 6pm. Organised by the National Museum, the musical soiree will feature songs of Rabindranath Tagore and DL Roy, Rajanikanta and Atul Prasad performed by Tanjina Toma. Following her career as a singer and a teacher over the last two decades, Toma founded Bibhash in 2015, a learning centre for music and art, which keeps her busy alongside her music and media pursuits. Toma is also a frequent host of a popular morning show Robir Abeer on SATV. Preeminent record label Hindusthan Records of India has recently published Hriday Majhe, a solo album by Tanjina Toma which features eight songs from various segments of Gitabitan. These include “Eki Shotto Shokoli Shotto”, “Nupuro Beje Jay Rini Rini”, “Amar Hiyar Majhe”, “Sajani Sajani Radhika”,  and “Amar Poran Jaha Chay”. Hriday Majhe was Toma’s seventh solo album. Earlier, HMV (now Sa Re Ga Ma) released her much celebrated album Tumi O Ami from India in 2015. G Series published Khuje Berai among her albums that won accolades from her fans.
