Gold prices drop

Due to a price drop in the international market, gold prices dipped in the local market as well.

In a press release issued on Monday, Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) informed that the prices of gold were reduced by Tk1,166 per bhori or 11.664 grams. The new price will be effective from Tuesday.

Each bhori of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk77,682.

Moreover, the 21-carat gold will cost Tk74,183 while 18-carat gold will cost Tk63,568.

Gold acquired in the traditional method will cost Tk53,051.

However, Bajus kept the prices of silver unchanged.
