Rizvi: Nov 8 rally to be held ‘at any cost’

“There is nothing more to add regarding tomorrow's rally, we will hold it 'by hook or by crook'. We have already taken all necessary preparations,” the BNP leader told reporters at the party’s central office in Dhaka on Monday afternoon. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the party is yet to receive official clearance to hold the rally. “We are still waiting for the government’s permission to hold our rally on November 8," Fakhrul told journalists earlier on Monday, after paying tribute to BNP founder Ziaur Rahman at his graveyard at Zia Uddyan in Dhaka. "They are just looking for excuses (but) we hope they will come to their right senses,” Fakhrul said.
