The proposed budget for FY 2014-15 is dreamy and not implementable, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has said.
Prime miniser's special envoy Ershad made the remark in his official reaction over the budget in a press briefing at the capital's Banani on Saturday afternoon.
Ershad said: “The budget is not ambitious but dreamy.”
Budget implementation would not be possible as there is no rule of law and democracy in the country, he said.
“We are not welcoming the budget; rather we have doubt over the implementation of the proposed budget.”
Jatiya party will discuss about the lacking and inconsistency of the budget in the parliament, he told the journalists.
Ershad, however, suggested that the budget can be implemented by revising it.
Jatiya Party General Secretary Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, presidium members Syed Abu Hossain, SM Foysal Chisti and Abdur Sobur were present, among others, in the press briefing.
