A dawn-to-dusk hartal called by Fulgazi Upazila Awami League demanding the trial of Ekram's killers and withdrawal of two police officials is underway on Monday.
The members of local Awami League are observing the hartal demanding trial of the killers of upazila chairman Ekramul Haq and withdrawal of Feni superintendent of police and officer-in-charge.
The hartal supporters have put logs and blockaded roads of the upazila.
Besides, the local Awami League have brought out processions and held rallies in different areas of the upazila.
The Fulgazi upazila chairman of Feni was shot and burnt to death in his car by miscreants in the district town on May 20.
