The Chittagong University authority has temporary expelled five activists of Chatra League in different terms for attacking Awami League central sub-committee Assistant Secretary Nasir Haider Babul.
The expelled BCL members are Rubel Dey (six-month), Shaharid Shubhoo (Six-month), Asifuzzaman Asif (three-month), SM Meraj (three-month) and Sohel Khan( three-month).
CU proctor Professor Sirajuddola said: “We have expelled the BCL members as the probe body found them guilty. They have also been served a show cause notice asking them to explain why they would not be permanently expelled for their offenses.”
Earlier on April 5, a faction of BCL men physically assaulted Nasir Haider Babul at the campus when he went there to attend a meeting.
