Khoka barred from traveling abroad

BNP Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka has been obstructed by the immigration police to travel abroad for treatment on Wednesday evening.

Press Wing Official of BNP Chairperson Shayrul Kabir Khan told the Dhaka Tribune: “The on-duty immigrant police at Shahjalal International Airport, barred him from flying to America in the evening.

But, they did not show any specific reason behind the obstacle,” he added.

“He was supposed to go to USA by a flight of Emirate Airlines at 9:00pm to take better treatment.”

While contacted, Ashique Sayed, special superintendent of Immigration Police, said: “We have stopped him leaving Dhaka as we received negative intelligence report against him.

We have requested him not to leave the country right now, but he can travel after some days,” he added.
