BNP's long march has reached to Dalia point near Teesta barrage in Nilphamari on Wednesday.
The long march will conclude after holding of another public rally at Dalia point.
On the second day, the long march caravan started its journey from Rangpur city around 10:00am.
Earlier in the morning, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir addressed a street rally in front of Rangpur Public Library, where he said: “There is no alternative of national consensus to get water of Teesta river.”
He called upon the people to come together to reach national consensus on the issue.
BNP leaders and activists led by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir started the longmarch from the capital’s Uttara.
The long-march entered the Rangpur city around 7pm on Tuesday and stayed there overnight.
On their way to the Teesta Barrage, BNP leaders held several wayside rallies in Kaliakair of Gazipur, Tangail Bypass Road, Kaddar intersection of Sirajganj, Matidhali crossing of Bogra, Gobindaganj and Polashbari of Gaibandha.
