Law State Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam claimed that the BDR carnage incident was the first of its kind that the main opposition BNP had initiated to oust the incumbent government.
He said: “BNP made the entire arrangement of conducting such a massacre after receiving financial assistance from the Pakistani intelligence service Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).”
The junior law minister made the remarks while expressing his sudden reaction over the BDR verdict at his office on Tuesday.
He said: “BNP leader and war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and former director general of BDR Maj Gen ALM Fazlur Rahman held a secret meeting and invested Tk40m to kill the prime minister during the darbar on February 24.
They perpetrated the carnage later on February 25 after failing to kill the premier,” he added.
