Manna meets BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, president of Nagarik Oikya, met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday night.

He entered Khaleda Zia's residence in Gulshan around 8:30pm on Monday and left around 10pm, according to media reports quoting security guards of the house.

THe sources said Manna inquired about Khaleda Zia's physical condition. There was also talk about the final anti-government movement.

Apart from that, Khaleda Zia indicated that BNP will not go to the elections under the current Awami League government.

Ganatantra Mancha has been involved in a simultaneous anti-government movement with BNP since its inception.

BNP and like-minded parties will soon come out with a new program to speed up the movement after Eid.

In the meantime, the Bangladesh Gono Odhikar Parishad left the Ganatantra Mancha last Saturday.

They suspect that the government is behind it to obstruct the anti-government movement.
