State minister: People will never listen to BNP’s lies about education system

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury on Saturday said people will never listen to any lies and propaganda spread by BNP about the education system.

He said: “During BNP's reign, the country's educational institutions were turned into ruins due to terrorism, extortion, tender bidding, militancy and drugs. The atmosphere of the classroom was completely destroyed. The Awami League government modernized the education system. So, no matter how much BNP lies about the education system, people will never accept it.”

The state minister made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at an event in Dinajpur.

Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said: “Education is the backbone of the nation. The country is moving forward with the right education policy under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Students are given new textbooks at the beginning of the year.

“Our education-friendly prime minister has arranged scholarships and stipends to prevent students from dropping out. We must not only be educated in academics; We have to become educated and patriotic people through integrated education system,” he added.

Mentioning that now students do not have to pay anywhere for the entrance exam, he said that students can get admission in all institutions including colleges and universities by filling the form online.
