The police have arrested four people, including president of the Chittagong metropolitan unit of Jubo Dal, in Comilla.
Mosharaf Hossain Dipti and the three others were arrested at Mayami Hotel near the Comilla highway in Alekhar Char area on Tuesday.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson's press wing, and Debashish Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Comilla Sadar Dakhshin police station, confirmed the matter.
“We heard that a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested the four including the BNP leader,” said the OC.
DB OC Razesh Barua could not be reached over the phone despite multiple attempts.
