Acting chairman of Jatiya Party GM Quader urged people not to spread rumours over the health condition of Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, who is undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
"His condition is stable and remains unchanged. But I request all to not spread rumours over his condition, and do not pay heed to any rumours either," he said on Monday, reports UNB.
The acting party chairman briefed reporters over Ershad's health condition at the Jatiya Party Chairman's Banani office.
"He (Ershad) is not out of danger yet," he said.
GM Quader also said doctors at the hospital did not suggest taking him abroad, and they will follow their advice in this regard.
"Infections in his lungs have eased but infections in kidneys have spread. His overall condition remains unchanged," he said.
Ershad was given oxygen support as his health condition deteriorated on Sunday.
