Jatiya Oikya Front is planning to hold a public rally on November 6 in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press conference held at the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan, Dhaka on Friday.
Responding to a question, Rizvi said: “We still did not get permission for an assembly. But I wrote a letter seeking permission, and we hope we will get it.”
He said: “To make the public rally successful, a joint meeting which will include the party's vice-chairman, advisory council, joint secretary general, editorial, associate organization president, general secretary, former MPs of Dhaka, will be held on Saturday.
The dialogue between Jatiya Oikya Front and the ruling party was held in Ganabhaban on Thursday night.
Even though the Awami League leaders said the dialogue was successful, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed otherwise.
Jatiya Oikya Front leader and Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain had somewhat the same tone, although he termed the dialogue “fruitful.”
He stated that they did not get any solution to their seven-point demand.
