In a meeting held at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's office in Gulshan, standing committee BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced that Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has sent him a letter.
The meeting chaired by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir began at 5:20 pm and concluded at 08:00 pm.
“BNP received a letter from the Commonwealth and it will be answered very soon,” said Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
"The standing committee meeting has been held. We talked about various issues”, he added.
In the meeting top BNP leaders discussed about the release of Khaleda Zia, her health issues, the upcoming parliamentary elections, and the demand for a neutral government.
