BNP nominates Sakku for Comilla City Corporation election

BNP has nominated Monirul Haque Sakku as its mayoral candidate for the upcoming Comilla City Corporation. The decision was taken in a meeting held at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office Saturday night. Khaleda's press secretary Shairul Kabir Khan said: “The BNP chief interviewed the aspirants for nominations and selected Sakku as the party candidate for the election.” Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present in the meeting. Comilla City Corporation election will be held on March 30. Aspirants will have to file nominations within March 2 which will be scrutinised on March 5 and March 6. The last date March 14 is the last day to withdraw nominations.
