Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) burned a effigy of Bakshi Bazar makeshift court Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman, protesting his statement regarding the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on January 10.
The incident took place in front of the BNP office in Naya Paltan around 3pm on Wednesday.
Acting general secretary of Chhatra Dal Asad informed of the protest to Dhaka Tribune saying: “Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman’s statement on the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case is unacceptable, and that has led to protest.”
Other leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal from different universities were present during the protest.
