Bangladeshi youth killed in Australia road accident

A young Bangladeshi man named was fatally injured in a road accident in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday. 

At the time of the incident at around 8pm, Ismail Hossain, 25, was teaching a friend from Mirpur how to drive, outside his home.

Ismail, originally from Lakshmipur, was the son of Amanat Ullah, a resident of the Khajurtala area in Ward 1 of Raipur municipality.

According to Sharif Hossain, Ismail's cousin, the friend lost control of the vehicle, running over Ismail and resulting in his death at the scene.

His body was taken to a hospital in Sydney.

Sharif also noted that Ismail had been studying at the University of Technology Sydney for about a year.

He had returned home for dental treatment and family matters a month and a half ago.

Ismail is survived by his parents and three brothers.

Efforts are underway to bring his body to Bangladesh.
