The temperature in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, remains unchanged, with the minimum recorded at 8.5°C at 9am on Sunday — the lowest in the region so far this season. The same temperature was recorded on Saturday as well.
Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of the Srimangal Meteorological Observatory, said: “Today's temperature in Srimangal is 8.5°C, the same as yesterday. However, the cold feels slightly less intense due to the rising sun. As winter reaches its final phase, the chill in this region may increase slightly.”
According to the Srimangal Meteorological Observatory, the lowest recorded temperature in Srimangal was 2.8°C on February 4, 1968, while the country's lowest temperature was 3.3°C on January 29, 1966. Srimangal also recorded 4°C on January 4, 1995, January 17, 2007, and January 10, 2013.
