Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu called on all party leaders and activists to unite and work together to take the BNP to new heights, inspired by the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
Speaking as the chief guest at a party meeting held in the auditorium of Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium, he said: “The party men should work sincerely to elevate BNP by adhering to the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.”
Shamsuzzaman highlighted the struggles and sacrifices of BNP activists over the last 15 years under the alleged oppression of the Awami League-led government.
“Thousands of BNP activists have been falsely accused in cases and subjected to murder, disappearance, and torture by this fascist regime,” he said.
He also paid tribute to the countless students and individuals who sacrificed their lives during the July-August Uprising and expressed hope that BNP leaders and activists would strengthen the party through humanitarian and developmental efforts for the country’s benefit.
Speakers at the meeting urged the government to announce an election roadmap as soon as possible for the welfare of the country and its people.
Nearly 300 BNP activists and members of its affiliated organizations from seven upazilas of the district participated in the meeting, emphasizing unity and collective action for the party’s future.
