On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 18 breast cancer survivors were felicitated at a program in Kushtia town on Monday.
Earlier in the day, a colorful procession was taken out on the occasion of awareness month around 9:30am. The procession started from in front of Sono Hospital and circled the main thoroughfare of the town.
At the end of the procession, a discussion session on cancer awareness was held in the hall room of Sono Consultation Center.
Assistant Professor of Bogra TMSS Medical College and Cancer Center and doctor of the Upazila Health Complex Dr Md Tousifur Rahman conducted the discussion.
Kushtia Medical College Associate Professor Cardiologist Dr Md Refaz Uddin, Sono Consultation Center Managing Director Samsul Wase, educationist Rebecca Sultana, senior journalist Mostafizur Rahman Manju and others took part in the program.
Later, a cultural program was performed, and the cancer survivors were felicitated.
