Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolan, claimed that foreign mentors of Sheikh Hasina are conspiring with the country's garment industry to destabilize local industrial establishments.
Speaking at a discussion meeting Zilla Parishad auditorium, Saki alleged that these external influences aim to incite unrest among workers, potentially leading to factory closures and job losses.
Saki said: “Garments should not be closed due to their movement. If the factories are closed, the workers will lose their jobs.”
During his address, Saki also acknowledged the families of those who were martyred and injured in the anti-discrimination movement, that they should be respected as symbols of pride and honor.
He called for the government to take responsibility for these families, proposing that at least one member from each family should be granted a government job to ensure their independence.
Amjad Hossain, convener of the Gazipur District Mass Solidarity Movement, spoke as the chair of the meeting, which also saw participation from Monir Uddin Pappu, a member of the organization's political council, and Deepak Roy, a member of the central editorial board.
Family members of 12 martyrs and several injured individuals were also present.
