Waterway movement suspended from Dhaka to six destinations due to adverse weather

Waterwal movement have been suspended from Dhaka to six destinations due to inclement weather in the coastal areas, as announced by the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).

This decision has been made in consideration of the safety of passengers and their property on Thursday.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued local warning signal number three at maritime ports in response to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.

In a press release, the BIWTA stated that severe rolling in the rivers of the coastal region has led to the suspension of services from Dhaka to the following destinations: Hatiya, Betua, Khepupada, Char Montaj, Rangabali, and Monpura. These services will remain suspended until further notice.

Passengers are advised to stay updated and prioritize their safety during this period.
