Dazzling Dawn provides food relief to over 500 flood-affected families

Daily Dazzling Dawn has provided food items to over 500 flood-affected individuals at temporary shelters in Moulvibazar.

Members of the Campaign for Media Freedom (CMF) distributed the relief items on behalf of Daily Dazzling Dawn on Saturday, the first and only Bangladeshi-owned English newspaper published in Britain.

The distribution was overseen by CMF President Md Hossain Ahmed, along with Dazzling Dawn’s Multimedia Editor Kamran Ahmed, Chief Developer Md Tayobur Rahman, and Online Newsroom Editor Shubo Gowala.

Among those present were former Moulvibazar Press Club President Abdul Hamid Mahbub, ex-Vice Chairman Hafiz Alaur Rahman Tipu, senior journalist Nurul Islam Seful, Monubarta Editor Md Josim Uddin, Director of Sylhet Imperial Hospital Dr Nijam Ahmed Chowdhury, senior journalist Abdul Aziz, Shahnewaz Chowdhury Sumon, teacher MA Hamid, and Dr Shah Sabbir Ali.

In addition to the food distribution, Daily Dazzling Dawn will organize free medical camps at the flood shelters starting tomorrow.

The newspaper has been actively involved in various social activities since its inception, fully self-financed.

The recent floods have affected about five million people in Bangladesh, with severe flooding causing river embankments to collapse.

The death toll has risen to 15, with at least five rivers experiencing the worst flooding since 2018. Eleven districts have been impacted by the disaster.
