Two people were killed and eight injured in a collision between a human hauler and a car in Tangail's Madhupur on Friday.
Madhupur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Molla Azizur Rahman confirmed the matter.
The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
The OC said that the private car was heading towards Tangail from Madhupur this morning.
Around 9:30am, the private car collided with the han hauler coming from the opposite direction in Malauri area and the car caught fire.
A passenger of the human hauler died on the spot and nine others from both vehicles sustained injuries.
Madhupur Police Station SI Nurul Amin said: “Injured were taken to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex. Later, another died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
