Bishwa Ijtema: Police recover lost passport of Korean citizen

Police recovered the lost mobile phone, passport, and US dollars belonging to Sultan Ahmed, a 58-year-old Korean citizen who was attending Bishwa Ijtema in Gazipur’s Tongi.

Upon immediate notification of the foreigner's lost belongings, including the mobile phone, passport, and bag containing dollars, the police initiated efforts to locate and retrieve them, eventually restoring the items to the concerned citizen.

The incident occurred around 8pm on Thursday when the Korean citizen accidentally left his bag, containing essential documents, including a mobile phone, passport, and cash, while performing ablution.

Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, the Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, confirmed the information.

According to the police officer, Sultan Ahmed reported that he left the bag by mistake after ablution. Despite searching the area after returning from the bathroom, he could not find the bag. Upon receiving the report, the police began the recovery process by collecting CCTV footage. Through inquiries, it was revealed that another worshiper had taken custody of the bag from the ablution hall. Subsequently, the bag was returned to the foreigner.
