In the 12th national parliament election, Chittagong's 16 constituencies recorded a total of 65,76,925 voters, according to the recently released final voter list by the Election Commission.
The list includes 34,63,583 male voters, 31,13,281 female voters, and 61 third-gender voters.
Compared to the 11th national parliament election, Chittagong's regional election sources indicate a significant rise, with the current total reflecting an increase of 9,39,464 voters over the course of five years.
Meanwhile, the Chittagong-8 constituency boasts the highest 5,43,147 voters, while Chittagong-3 holds the lowest 2,56,981 voters.

Meanwhile, preparations for the upcoming elections in Chittagong are in progress, with the assignment of two returning officers for the 16 constituencies.
The management responsibilities are divided between Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Md Tofayel Islam, who will manage constituencies 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 11, and Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Abul Bashar Mohammed Fakhruzzaman, entrusted with constituencies 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16.
The overall number of polling stations has also increased.
According to Election Commission sources, the upcoming election will involve 2,022 polling stations, 123 more than the previous one.
