Islamist orator Rafiqul Islam Madani, 28, was released from Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur on Saturday.
Jail Superintendent of Kashimpur Central Jail Part-2 Aminul Islam confirmed that the High Court granted bail to Rafiqul Islam Madani in four cases under the Digital Security Act (DSA).
Rafiqul Islam Madani, known as “Shishubokta”, was charged under the Digital Security Act in Gacha of Gazipur city, Tejgaon and Motijheel police stations.
He was charged under the Explosives Act at Motijheel police station.
Rafiqul Islam Madani's cousin Aminul Hasan said: “The family went to the jail to pick him up. When he was released from prison around 8pm, I left for home with him.”
Rafiqul Islam Madani had landed in jail on charges of making anti-state statements and instigating violence in April, 2021.
