The bodies of a woman and her two minor sons were recovered from the Tirnoi River in Thakurgaon's Ranisankail upazila on Wednesday morning, a day after they went missing.
The deceased are Nasima Begum, 35, wife of Abdur Rahim of Kashipur village, and her two sons Shawan, 8, and Sifat, 6.
Gulfamul Islam, officer-in-charge of Ranisankail police station, said they went missing on Tuesday noon. Their family could not trace them after a frantic search.
Locals spotted their floating bodies in the morning and informed the police.
Hearing the news of the recovery, their relatives went to the spot and identified the bodies.
The reason behind their death will be confirmed after investigation, said the OC.
