The entry test of ”C” unit for undergraduate students in Rajshahi University (RU) was held on Monday for the academic year of 2022-23 with 86% attendance.
The information was made in a press release signed by Prof Pradeep Kumar Pandey, administrator of the university's public relations office, on Monday afternoon.
The admission test of this unit was completed by conducting the fourth shift admission test held from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
“C” unit entry test under Group-1 was held from 9am to 10am; under Group-2 from 11am to 12pm; under Group-3 exam from 1pm to 2pm.
The overall attendance rate was 86% for four shifts.
No untoward incidents were reported during the exams.
Dhaka TribuneWhen asked about the admission test, Prof Pradeep said that there were 18,574 registered candidates in each of the four groups in this unit under the 26 departments of the university.
Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar, vice-chancellor of the university, told the media persons at 9:30am on Monday morning on the occasion of the admission examination, said the administration is always active to conduct the admission examination properly. There is no scope for cheating in the exam.
He called upon all those concerned to be careful in this matter and hoped that the entire exam activities would be completed with the cooperation of all.
When asked about departmental level examination, the vice-chancellor said that this university is run according to separate policy (Act of 73). In that case, the decision of the academic council is considered final.
Moreover, discussions are going on to take the admission test centrally for all the universities of the country. Therefore, after considering the overall aspect, the decision will be taken on this matter, he added.
The admission tests of “A”, “B” units will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
