Four motorcyclists were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail and Madaripur on Tuesday night.
Among them, three people were killed in Tangail and one in Madaripur.
In Tangail, Three motorcyclists were killed following a collision with a microbus on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Haripur area of Ghatail upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Sona Miah, 22, Alamgir Hossain, 25 and Shamim Hossain, 26.They worked in a workshop.
The accident took place around 10pm when they were returning to their workshop, said Azharul Islam Sarker, officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station, confirming the matter.
The speeding microbus hit the motorcycle riding by three workers from opposite direction, leaving the trio dead on the spot.
However, the microbus could not be seized.
The OC said that the speed of the motorcycle was reckless.
In Madaripur, a motorcyclist was killed as a bus hit his vehicle on Dhaka-Barisal highway near Amgram bridge of Rajoir upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Swapan Miah, 28.
Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Rajoir police station, said that the motorcycle caught fire when a “Sakura Paribahan” bus hit it, leaving the biker dead on the spot.
Besides, the bus plunged into a ditch after hitting the motorcycle.
