Seven students, including four of Comilla Victoria Government College, have been missing since August 23, 2022.
Their family members have filed separate general diaries with Comilla's Kotwali Model Police Station in this regard.
The missing students are Imran bin Rahman, 17, HSC candidate of the current year of Comilla Victoria Government College, Sami, 18, HSC candidate of the same college, Hasibul Islam, 18, HSC candidate of Comilla Government College, Nihal, 17, HSC candidate of Victoria College, honours first year Imtiaz Ahmed Rifat, 19, honours third year Aminul Islam Alamin, 23, from the same college and Niloy, 25, who completed computer science with honours from Daffodil International University. Among them, Nihal and Niloy are cousins.
Family members said all the missing students were known to one another. None of them took much money, mobile phones, or clothes with them while leaving home.
Comilla Additional Superintendent of Police Md Afzal Hossain said: “We received a general diary regarding the missing students. We began the investigation on September 5.”
In this regard, Major Mohammad Sakib Hossain, company commander of RAB-11 CPC-2 in Comilla: "We are working seriously on the matter."
