Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday detained three people including the prime accused in a case filed over the gang-rape of a woman after abduction in Cox’s Bazar.
Firoz alias Mostak Dakat, Md Sharif alias Sharif Company and Nurul Islam were arrested from Napitkhali area of Eidgaon Upazila.
Later, RAB members recovered one foreign and nine locally-made firearms from their den.
RAB-15 Commander Lt Col Khairul Islam Sarkar confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
“The RAB official said the trio was wanted in several cases including rape, looting, extortion, and forest encroachment."
“They will be handed over to Eidgaon police station after a case is filed,” he added.
On March 14, a case was filed against four men for abducting a woman from Cox's Bazar court premises and raping her.
