Two persons were killed in a motorcycle-tractor trolley collision in the Kharakpur area of the Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway on Wednesday.
The deceased are Nazmul Islam Sumon, 35, and Momin, 19.
According to locals, Nazmul died on the spot after colliding head-on with the tractor trolley on his way home from Kansat at around 11:15am.
Critically injured in the accident, Momin, the trolley driver’s assistant, died on the way to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital.
Shibganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Chowdhury Jobayer Ahmed said police had confiscated the motorcycle and the tractor trolley.
