A Bangladeshi expatriate, who recently returned home from Italy, was rescued on Friday, five days after her abduction.
Police found her at a house in the College Gate area of Madaripur after she had been abducted from the Shokuni area.
Two people have been arrested so far in this connection, said Madaripur Sadar model police staion OC Kamrul Islam Mia.
According to the police, the teenager recently returned from Italy along with her parents for the first time in eight years due to a death in the family.
On the morning of January 10, some men picked her up in a microbus from the road in front of her aunt's house.
The victim's father filed a case accusing five named and four unnamed persons at Madaripur Sadar model police station the next day, leading to the arrest of two men on January 12.
Then on Friday night, police carried out a raid in the College Gate area after tracing the teenager and key accused Afzal Hossain Shaon. Shaon fled the scene but police managed to rescue the girl.
The girl will be handed over to her family following a medical examination and legal proceedings, said OC Kamrul.
