A fire broke out at a cotton warehouse in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong on Saturday morning.
Six firefighting units rushed to the spot to douse the fire after the Fire Service was informed at about 10:25am, Chittagong Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Abdul Hamid Mia told Dhaka Tribune.
Sultan Mahmud, senior officer at the local Kumira fire service station, said the cause of the fire could not be known immediately, adding that there were no casualties yet.
Sitakunda police station OC Tofayel Ahmed said police were also at the spot.
This comes just days after an explosion at an oxygen plant in the upazila left seven dead earlier this month.
