Two people were killed, and five injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Rangpur on Friday.
The incident was reported around 9:45am from Sathibari area in Mithapukur upazila, said Sub-Inspector Shahjahan Ali of the local Bara Dargah Highway police outpost.
The deceased are yet to be identified.
The Rangpur-bound “Mayer Doa Paribahan” bus was struck head-on by a truck heading towards Bogra. Both the victims were passengers of the bus, added the police officer.
The injured were rescued and taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, and bodies are kept at the police outpost.
The bus and truck have been seized, said Sub-Inspector Shahjahan.
