Mild quake jolts Sylhet

A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter Scale has jolted Sylhet region of Bangladesh on Sunday morning.
There was no report of any casualty.
According to Sayed Ahmed Chowdhury, chief meteorologist of Sylhet Met Office, the epicentre of the temblor that occurred at 11:27am was in Assam of India, some 283 kilometres east of Sylhet.
He also said another magnitude 3 earthquake shook Assam earlier in the morning.
