Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained a person with 19 firearms and 600 bullets from Puran Shikdar Para area under Kutubdia upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
Monowarul Islam Chowdhury Mukul was detained around 4am on Thursday, a day after three people were detained with a huge amount of amrs and ammunition from the district.
Cox’s Bazar RAB 7 Company Commader Md Ruhul Amin said: “Acting on a tip-off, we raided the area and detained Monowarul.”

Six SBBL, 13 one shooter gun and 600 bullets were recovered from their possession.
Kutubdia police station Office-in-Charge (OC) Mostafiz Bhuiya said: “The detainee has been handed over to us with the seized arms and ammunition.
“A case will be filed in this regard.”
