A university student was arrested in Char Kashipur of Fatullah on Friday in a case filed under the Pornography Control Act.
The accused, Saddam Hossain,24 , a student of Northern University, lives in the Char Kashipur area.
Fatullah Model Police Station Officer in Charge Aslam Hossain confirmed the matter.
The case statement notes that Saddam had a relationship with a girl in his neighbourhood. The young woman got married to someone else a few months ago.
Agitated by the development, Saddam posted intimate photos involving himself and the girl on social media and also sent them to the girl’s in-laws
Speaking on the matter, Aslam Hossain, Officer in Charge of Fatullah Model Police Station, said police had arrested Saddam after the victim's father filed a case.
The accused was sent jail following a court order, he added.
